This was a gathering of enthusiasts for Italian cars, bikes and scooters and an opportunity to rattle the city centre windows with a co-ordinated reving of some seriously powered engines!

After my last attempt at photographing cars in the wild, I wasn't too hopeful but if you don't try, you don't learn, so....

I spotted this in the back of a very nice Ferrari...I think they're solid fuel boosters...at least it doesn't look much like most car engines I've come across! :)

Yes, Pete...some serious masking and cloning and it still isn't perfect. I should really have done the inside of the front wheel and it could probably do with a shadow underneath...but its an improvement..
 
Love the Alfa shot, Adrian. (I have a soft spot for Alfa Romeo's anyway having owned a number of them over the years--none like that one I hasten to add--and also in an earlier chapter I made my living fixing them. But despite my personal affection for the marque, its a great shot.) I like the scooters shot as well.
