A small jazz band entertains the crowds during the taste of main in Encinitas - artfully using a menu billboard to provide illumination.

What a great shot Chris. The microphone and stand is in a bit of an unfortunate place but what the hell, where else would you expect it to be and looking at it more doesn't really detract from the image now that I mentioned it.

I really like this image Chris. Sharp and clear and a great scene. I wish that microphone was a little off to the side though.

I did think it was a blown out window light. Also before a squint, I thought the bush rapped round the guitarist's shirt. The board gives the picture a kind of composite look with lots of space. Nice one Chris.

Thanks everyone

Paul /Ralph - I tried moving around to get everyone in the clear, but the music stand on the right stared obscuring the trumpet guy as I moved right :(

When I shot from further left the other music stand hid the drummer :(

Julian - that shirt is something else! :D

Doesn't matter about the mike I think. The shot looks great!
