As soon as I saw this it brought back a memory from 1979.
In August of 1979 I took an 8,000 mile motorcycle tour from my home in Dallas,Texas and one of the many towns I passed through was Banff, Alberta, Canada. This was shot about 7 p.m. with my trusty Canon FTb on Kodachrome 64. I had left Jasper, Alberta about 7 a.m. and the 193 miles or so that I drove down to Banff I still consider the most beautiful single stretch of highway I've ever driven. It took 12 hours because I was stopping so often to unpack my camera and take a few shots. I think I shot about as many frames of Kodachrome as the number of miles. Anyway, this is my "Center of town". Thanks for posting your photo Paul. My memories of that moment in Banff are somewhat faded now but still they are some of my most cherished.
I also thought it was an interesting juxtaposition of landscapes.
