Of the ghosts, I think I’d go for the first too, but I like the statues very much too. The third is very appealing as well. You should explore this technique more I think.
@Pete Askew, as I have long noticed, you have an extraordinary eye for detail. How did you notice the dog that is semi-hidden by the grating? But you're right, he's the only non-zombie in that photo. BTW, I like the statues too, there's a contrast between Eastern religiosity and Western stereotypes that the framing, dynamics and lighting bring out.

The first is most ghost-like but the next two make me think of ectoplasm and eeriness, the third particularly. I can almost feel the apparition drifting by.
