And for something a bit different for me......

There was a classic car rally on Sunday at Ickworth House. We went there just to get out and do something. It was by chance that the car rally was on that day. It was the lure of shiny stuff that attracted me like a photographing magpie to photogenic gold!

I saw one of these (if not this one) at the 2009 classic car show at the NEC, and I was REALLY attracted to it!
such a beautidul car. and never the less, cracking shots you've done there Paul.

My Old pop hand crafted the front and Rear Muds and the Running boards for one of these back in the 80's, he was a panel beater and was well sort after by restorers locally, he worked at Morgans in Malvern for years after working in Repair shops and teaching the subject....

Sorry the Alvis led me down memory lane,,, nice shots Paul, it's always difficult at these type of event to get what you really want but your choice of angle and crop works well...

Thanks guys. I know it's not everyone's cup of tea but it was nice to step out of my box for a bit and try something different. Apparently classic car nuts go mad for stuff like this.

Which camera/lens were you using Paul?

All of these were done with a Nikon P7000. It was a bit of a battle to get shallow DOF as the sensor is not especially large. Larger than most compacts but tiny compared to APS-C.
