For a while now I have been delving into this area of camera design and have tried several examples. The gradual progress to full automation beginning with the first box camera "..we do the rest" claim has brought me to the Olympus IS-5000. Apart from image stabilisation, this one seems to have everything and is heldin some quarters as the inspiration for the digital "bridge". It can certainly deliver.
