Our annual mountain day out, saw us attempting to climb a route called Kirkus Direct HVS4c an 80 metre 4 pitch route on some fine welsh rock, Craig yr Ogof or Cwm Silyn which forms part of the Nantlle Ridge.
The weather gods were not with us, the route we wanted to do was quite wet. So we opted for the Ordinary route fine diff climb of nearly 400 feet. Although quite an easy climb the exposure was massive with a least 2 pitches of having nothing but a sheer drop of 300 under you.
The views were simply staggering, the far tip of Anglesey as well as the coast of Ireland were to be seen, the route was long and took us close to four hours to complete. The walk off down a steep stone shoot in the setting sun was sublime. Finally got back to the car at 10.30pm, and enjoyed a rather welcome Maccy D's in Caernarfon, before the long plod home.

actually Im quite for for my age, but do agree that the walk back is often the most difficult at the end of a long day. But i was in good company and the banter between us very humerous, helps pass the time. Wish I could take more pictures but the thought of trashing my camera weighs heavy on my mind. I will respond to the pm by the way, super busy at the moment, Gallery sales have been really good over the last few months. So if I'm not shooting I'm printing.
