Crossing The Bridge

Apparently the beer is cheaper on the north side of the river. ;)

Shot on choice of shutter speed there Pete, just the right amount of movement!
That about the beer... That's actually true isn't it??

I bet they all look even more blurry on the way back! :D

Very nice Pete - did you make it to the finish line?

Thanks all.

Actually that probably is almost true about the beer. It is a lot more expensive in the centre where the tourists go (i.e., where they are running from). The other side of the bridge was also the finish point and, after a long loop, the runners came back over the bridge. We were heading for Malostranská subway station although soon found that we were trapped on small area opposite by the route. Just after crossing, the winner (Peter Kirui of Kenya - 59:22) crossed the bridge to the finishing line. The was a substantial gap between him and the next runner. We sat on a bench with Blanka and Noemi and chatted until the slower runners started to appear and then crossed when there was a gap.

I also cannot add much Pete if anything to what has already been said, but it definitely evokes the stragglers in a long run. I do like the frozen shoes against the blurred bodies.

Ah, great one! It's annoying, such 'snake' of people, if you want to be at the other side of the road. Had it in Barcelona, almost divorced my fine lady as a result of the quarrel we had about it...
But this photo is great!!
