Curbar Cow

I developed quite a relationship with this herd, but more of that over the coming days. Having arrived at the car park by Curbar Gap, I made the reluctant decision not to visit Baslow Edge. From the gap, Baslow is to the left, Curbar is to the right and Froggatt is on the other end of that. I was too tired to do more than Curbar, but I was sad to miss the Highland cattle that I knew were on Baslow.

Then I spotted a few in the field next to the car park and I got this. For once Photoshop and Nik have behaved tonight and I even cropped without a problem. Things are looking up...

I love the pictures of Lola on your website. That is great that she gets to be outside. When I lived in Boston a lot of people had ferrets for pets. I also understand a lot of them got turned into the local animal shelter which is heartbreaking. They are really intelligent and affectionate animals.

Cheers Steve (and Rob). Lola didn't have a good start in life. Her sister died in mysterious circumstances one evening. The owners tried to blame it on rat poison, but it doesn't work like that and they demanded that my friend take Lola away the same night. She's a ferret/wild polecat cross, but she loves us to bits. I was trimming her claws this morning and she kept insisting on kissing me on the lips. We train all our ferrets to do that so they are face-safe around young children
