Dappled Wood

I'm a sucker for dappled woods. Two medium-format shots from the Bronica SQ-Ai and the Zenzanon PS 40mm lens, with Portra 400. What I'm particularly pleased with here is that for the first time ever, the entire roll of 12 shots was exposed to my satisfaction. I have done nothing to these images, save scan them, and put them into Lightroom briefly to add my website address in the lower-right corner. I can't get big-headed though, as the film after this one was really poor, with only two passable shots.

I used a tripod with both these images, and the Minolta IV light meter. Both F16. Shutter speed, 250 and 60 respectively.

When you see them on a big iMac screen, without any reduction, they almost look 3D. Amazing.

Two fine pictures! Getting the exposure right is a real challenge. Must admit, with digital I go for the "recon by fire" approach. Take 6 or 7 pics all with different settings - one of the has got to be right. :)
