Spent a fine day out on the blustery cliff tops at Troup Head on the Moray Firth watching the gannets...

...the noise and the smells were incredible....

Trouble yes, and I know a few! Back to the series though. An incredible series and I wonder, how close can you get to them and how? A long lens too Douglas. Just curious. Like the a lot and thelast image indeed.

Ivar,

You can access the clifftops after a walk of about 1 mile and, if the winds are favourable, the gannets are hanging in the air a matter of yards off the clifftop...

Taken with my trusty Jupiter 135mm manual focus lens and a Canon 28mm.

A nice series, your photos show that you enjoyed teh day out, besides the the smell and noise. Like the first one and especially the last one most.
