Day out at Troup Head

Spent a fine day out on the blustery cliff tops at Troup Head on the Moray Firth watching the gannets...

Trouble yes, and I know a few! Back to the series though. An incredible series and I wonder, how close can you get to them and how? A long lens too Douglas. Just curious. Like the a lot and thelast image indeed.

You can access the clifftops after a walk of about 1 mile and, if the winds are favourable, the gannets are hanging in the air a matter of yards off the clifftop...

Taken with my trusty Jupiter 135mm manual focus lens and a Canon 28mm.

Stinky or not, a fine set Doug. Wonderful birds we get a few down here but not the numbers you have at this spot, which I suspect is an indication of how much fish is there.
