Decaying Town

A couple of shots from two locations in town. It is hard to believe that so much of the town are unused, even during these current times.......a quick count of empty shops on the High Street alone reaches 4 shops, go a little deeper and there is yet more, a sad reflection of our time, a great opportunity for us to play........

Great shots Kev. I do like a bit of urban decay and your treatment there is perfect I think. I especially like the hanging felt in No. 2. As you say, it's amazing what is left derelict in towns where property / rents are otherwise often so high.

What boggles me is that if I owned a property and it was going unused, surly there would be a way to get at least someone in even if it was at a reduced price ...
Councils could reduce rates etc ...
I dunno, I don't know enough about this ... It just strikes me as odd that nothing can be done ...

Love the shots though mate!
Is this the p-shore

Cheers Pete, Hamish, yes the mind boggles as to why an owner would allow this to happen, I can understand it when the owner has died and there is no one else in the line for taking over. but as for councils and other autorities it just beggars belief. They'll probably end up being torched.................

Cheers Dan, haven't really looked too much but both are in frequented public areas, heavily boarded and anti climb paint everywhere, will have a probe later on once I get my car back...........
