Lincolnshire houses quite a number of remote and abandoned military sites. These two are very close to each other and almost on one of Lincolnshire's beaches. Quite menacing no doubt when out walking the dog.

Abandoned Military Installation Lincolnshire Coast.jpg
Another old military relic on the Lincolnshire coast. This one is an old WW2 searchlight shelter. The structure is actually an old engine generator shed. Strange place to find such a thing. This photo was shot during 2008.

Concrete pillbox left over from WW2. These items were put in place to deal with the invasion that never came. So flat is this coastal region it was thought that an invasion was inevitable.

This shot was taken back in 1985 on my first ever visit to Jersey. Although I'm not certain, I think this may well have been a German WWII vehicle garage. Fabulous location but quite strange.
