What a great start Steve! I love the framing and the timing is perfect with that expression (and yes... don't we animal lovers know it all too well?) The background is super. It looks to me as though Hugo would be having a wonderful time in the water if you weren't bothering him for one more shot...

Steve that look is so funny made me smile, he's got your number. This is coming from someone who doesn't go gooooeey over cats or dogs. They are ok as far as animals go, but preferred goats.

Thanks to everyone for the kind words. Hugo is a character. He's sort of a clown. He really loves children. If he was given a choice between a rare steak and having a 2 year old pull his ears, he would take the 2 year old every time. He was dumped on a Texas State Park. I worked for Texas Parks and Wildlife for a couple years before going back to Higher Ed. I ended up rescuing 6 dogs total. I kept two of them and found homes for the other four. I never had children so the dogs are in a way my children.
Again, I just want to say what a great forum this is. I am so impressed with the photography I see here. I've had some health problems with my parents I had to attend to the last couple of days. But I want to warn everyone, I'm going to want to learn a lot from you guys. I hope I don't bother anyone with my boneheaded questions. THANKS!!!!!!!!
