Doh! Forgot to change ISO

Rob MacKillop

Edinburgh Correspondent
Using Rhona's Canon AE-1 today. Shot 20 shots of Ilford 400 HP5, neglecting to check the camera's setting, which is 200. [doh]

I'll be sending the film to Joan at wedevelopfilms.co.uk - Should I mention this? Is there anything she can do? Or is it a waste of time?

Should I now change the camera to 400, or is better to see the film through to the end as is?

PS Quite enjoyed the camera!

I agree with Pete. But before doing that I would say go onto Flickr and see if you can find any examples of HP5 shot at 200 and processed for box speed. You might find that some people like it.

As mentioned in another thread, I'm not sure Joad does pull processing ... Worth an ask though as it was c41 she wouldn't push for me ... She might do black and white.

Same thing :)

Just been checking out the images on Flickr of Hp5 at iso 200 - they look fine to me. I'll not worry about it, especially as I'll be digitising them eventually. Probably. Thanks everyone.

I think Rob's Avatar description needs to change from 'Edinburgh Correspondent' to 'Hottie Scottie' :D

What do you think Hamish?

... Hmm, I'm with Chris ... That's two against one at te moment Rob ... And the two are both forum "staff" ... You may be on to a loser with this one ...[devil]

Hello,

Yes, leave the iso as set to finish the film and when you send the film mention that you have exposed at 200 and we'll sort it ;)
