Dungeness Tracks

Otherwise know as Zooey
I seem to be going through a personality change. Having taken this about four years ago, the processing has always evaded me and at the time I didn't think it was something I would normally shoot. Back to tonight - it was too early to go to bed and I'm too tired to do anything serious. It's actually a horrible image to work on because the shingle does funny things in both Color and Silver Efex and now I'm so cross-eyed I don't know what I think anymore...

Dungeness is one of my favourite places in the UK. The shingle can be difficult can't it and has come out a little light and lacking in contrast but, nevertheless, I really like the composition here and I too think it to be an interesting shot. Was it shot on film?

the desolate-ness of the whole thing appeals to me greatly, and i think the high tone of the monochrome helps it... almost desert like

Cheers Davie! For anyone interested, Dungeness has one of the largest areas of shingle in the world. You can walk around for hours with nothing but decaying boats and huts and rusting winches. I love the place, but after my favourite shed fell down, I haven't been so inclined to go back. It really is quite unique though and well worth a visit :)

Yes, I have to agree, this is one of the most interesting places in Britain. Unfortunately it is a hell of a long way from my home so I have to make do with very remote areas of Lincolnshire and the beaches here but Dungeness is one of my alltime favourites.
