I spent yesterday in Dungeness. This was my third visit. The place has been well covered by photographers to the point of cliche by now. The beach is like a museum of rust and decay and every exhibit could be photographed from countless angles. But there are still some interesting places to be found when you get away from the main items of interest.
Sadly a very skyless sky has not helped overall.
This first image is the wall surrounding the Nuclear Power Station. I wanted make it look as ominous and secretive as possible rather than a shot of the station itself which in itself is not really interesting.
This one was taken from one side of the station showing the various and often menacing structures that are around the place. You can just about see the sea in the distance.
All this pebble/gravel stuff has arrived since my last visit some years ago; brought in by the council, I think. That is a bird hide in the distance.
This structure looks like a survivor from some disaster movie.
