Eat and Drink with Us

I was going to make a quip about influential people and the long shadows they cast, but then I got caught up in the photo and found myself thinking that it would be really interesting to know more about her. She must have led a very interesting life. One that would be totally alien to me.

Thanks John! That is what street photography is all about, isn't it? It's a kind of anthropology, but one that ends with only questions.... Whenever a photo induces questions, it is a successful photo.... So, thank you....:)

Oh'boy! This is a wonderful one Rense. The lady of and from a different environment than most with her shadow here which again leads us in the direction as well as devides two societies so to speak, in two. Probably a known environment to the lady, but not a one she frequents normally. Yes this image is a true example of anthropology and great street photography, which I take to my heart. Two subjects I have studied and still do. The image is excellent. Colour would not have worked here I think! I have to ad, though subjectively; this is one of the best street photography I have seen in years!

A beut Rense with a shadow so much larger than her wonderful stance and the conclusion she has no intentions other than to not get involved but to pass on straight through as briskly as is possible.
