Wasn't sure if I wanted to post these but in the end decided I would just to show the difference from the wide Nikon lens and x10 pano mode. All taken from various points at the castle

South facing - D300s

North facing - D300s

west facing - x10 (120*)

Thanks Allan. Those panoramas are quite effective aren't they. I assume they are stitched in the camera.

The x10 one is the only pano as such and its done in camera the d300s are just using my wide angle at 10mm and doing a 16:9 crop But yes there not too bad I spose
