WARNING: I claim no photographic expertise in posting these images, it's just an account of a fun day out with a camera.
We have a little joke in our family, that, although I spent a short time in my childhood learning the German language, the only thing I came away from it with was the ability to say "The peach is under the table".
So, a few years ago, on a visit to Berlin, the obvious thing to do was to take a photo of a peach under a table.
Then we decided to take the peach out for a day on the town. After a short stroll, we arrived at the Unter-bahn and jumped on a train.
We went to a peach sized maze.
Took in some modern art...
Peach with Liechtenstein.
Peach with Warhol.
This was hilarious, because the security guards knew we were up to something, but they couldn't work out just exactly what.
Then, on a bridge over the river, we took in some spookily appropriate street art.
We call this one 'The Peach is Under the Peach'
Then turning just 90 degrees from there, we spotted an icon of the Berlin skyline. The TV tower, which from a certain angle, resembled a fruit kebab.
Finally, after sundown, we went up the tower for a beer and took in the amazing cityscape. The barman thought the 'Sophisticated Peach Around Town' shot was great.
