Nice conversion and a characterful portrait. Does she like it? It does seem a bit tight to the bottom of the frame though to my eye. Losing a bit from the top might help. What do you think?

I don't know Pete - it adds a nice tension, as if she's peaking up into the frame

Yes, I thought it was a bit tight at the bottom...but I see Chris's point. It's a cheap and quite good app, with various old-style makeovers. I'll explore it more.
Pete, she hasn't seen it, and would die if she did. She absolutely hates being photographed. Such a shame, as she has a very interesting face.

Interesting? I'd come with an alternative adjective when you try to sell the idea to her! 
Alien Skins is one of the few I haven't tried over the years but they do have some nice effects.
