Hi,

Here's one from a series I did at an amusement park.

Taken with a Fuji X-E1 with 35mm lens, taken around midday, I liked the way the blue and silver worked together. Hope you like :)

Thanks Hamish, indeed squinting changes the picture ! ;)

Half working photog on twice the money . . . . sounds great job !

Haha...
I did a test shot for a company wanting a new set of photos for their entire product line on Friday ... Nice bit of work ... Apart from the fact the products are window opening mechanisms ... 200 odd of them ...
Even at twice the price sometimes you just have to put your head down and prey the end of the day comes round quickly ;)

I do like this very much Simon. Very simple but very effective in terms both of composition and colour/tone. Eggleston springs to mind - but that's probably because I just bought the new portfolio of his work (Los Alamos - Revisited).

Hi Pete,

Funny you mention (William) Eggleston :) . . . I am quite a fan of him too. Recently I decided that rather than gawk at his pictures online, I'd actually buy some of his books. I brought "William Eggleston's Guide" and "2 1/4".

I'm also a follower of Stephen Shore also and have one of his books "Uncommon Places - The Complete Works".

All this sourced from my initial buy of Robert Franks "The Americans" I think ! (funny how it snowballs) :D

Thanks for mentioning "Los Alamos - Revisited" - I'll check it out.

Merry Xmas,

Many thanks for this Pete . . . you realise that at USD $345 for the set, my kids wont be getting Xmas presents now :p

I'll just say to them "Blame the bad man from Germany !" it was all his fault.
