Emser Tile Building, Santa Monica Blvd - LA

This building is on the historic buildings register in CA - Originally Bekins Fireproof Storage, built in 1925 by architects Niebecker & Jeffers.

It's now the headquarters for Emser Tile, and has been completely restored on the outside, and completely transformed on the inside.

Here it is, back in the day - before West Hollywood grew up around it

AAA-EN-27-46

Bekin's had 12 custom built Californian facilities for storage, all rather impressive buildings

In its heyday the Bekins Co. owned more than 100 storage buildings in 14 states.

Love the DEEP blue of the sky, Chris. Really beautiful. Nice building too, and thanks for taking the time to give us some background.

Thanks Guys - the color of the sky reminded me of the pot of ink I used to use for writing at school - Quink Blue-Black Ink :D
