If you feel people are getting defensive, it only goes to emphasise the point that you have entered the forum from an attacking standpoint. Defence is after all the standard response to such a standpoint...?

No one has sent you to Siberia. Indeed, there have been numerous comments inviting you to stay and contribute. But I can't help but think that you want to be sent there. Indeed, I wonder if that isn't some measure of pride for you.

And as to the joke you mention I guess I missed it. I've been hanging out at RPF for 3 or 4 years now (daily almost) and have never seen anyone use the words tit or bum as much as you, Tom. I'm no prude, but I am sensitive that some language is improper (at least to me) in mixed company. You may consider me "old school" in that sense. And yes, although we have too few women in the group, which is a shame, we do have a few, and we used to have some younger people contribute too. Would they be offended by your numerous mild vulgarities? Maybe or maybe not. It is certainly off-putting to me.
