Master Photographer Peter Lik has made it his life’s work to photograph the most stunning natural landscapes in the world. Peter doesn’t know what "too far" or "unreachable" mean. For him, it's about getting the perfect shot - which he'll travel to any corner of the globe to capture.

From humble beginnings in Australia, Lik has become one of the most highly acclaimed photographers of the natural world. His timeless images capture with exquisite beauty the world's most beautiful scenes.

Looks like it will be well worth watching - I have set my DVR!

Looking at the video clips on the preview website - he camps out for days, swims rivers, fights off wild animals..

Kind of like Bear Grylls with a camera! LOL

Sort of like my backcountry adventures, except the fighting off animals part, I use bear spray and run!

When my parents visited last summer, and we toured Yosemite and Tahoe - I kept telling them to look out for bears.

They laughed it off, and didn't take it seriously - kept making jokes about Pooh bear etc etc.

Until we came upon this paw print on the path near the house!!!!

Seen these tracks last fall while backpacking in the bob Marshall Wilderness of Montana. I always carry bear spray and do not argue with the critters.

Well, I watched the first show - it was kind of meh...

Pete over-acts to camera so badly, it's distracting.

The locations were amazing - the level of photography info was low - I think he did mention ISO400 at one point and a 30 sec exposure at one point - that was about it.

Maybe the 2nd show will be better...

I re-watched it again, and he does touch on a couple more key points.

he continually bangs on about the 10 mins either side of sunrise/sunset, which is valid.

And he does make the point that you need to get off your arse, and get out there, to get some pictures

It's not quite 'bloody ripper' yet, but it's better than going without your tucker bag on walkabout...
