It was sexy to be sure. It was a teal-like color, with tinted windows to match. It was drawing attention. It drove past me and Sadie as we walked down the road. I was unable to get a picture. I was delighted to find it parked a couple of blocks away. Thanks, Glenn.

Thanks, Beth. In response I was thinking to observe that the era of the fin was very short--I was thinking maybe just two or three years at most--at least on the caddy. But to my surprise I found images of Coupe de Ville fins from '49 through to about '75. The late 50s were certainly the high water mark, as it were, and in the mid 70's the fins had become almost vestigial, yet they are clearly in evidence. I'm quite astonished by how long the era of the fin lasted.
