First day out with a new camera.

Treated myself to a new toy, a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ72. Has a monster zoom, equivalent to 20 - 1200 mm. Never used anything like it before, so it will take some time to figure out exactly what all the wheels, buttons, menus and sub-menus do. All good fun!

Early days, so far I am very pleased with it.

2) Firle pond. It is mentioned in the Doomsday Book - this is an old pond!

3) Beachy Head lighthouse.

4) Well I had to try it out... Max. zoom, hand held. I was on top of Beachy Head, approx 2.5 miles (4 km) from the pier.

1200???? I'll wave out of my window - maybe you'll see me?!

Loverly shots, Dave. I particularly like the lighthouse and cliff edge one, with the little ant people out for a stroll. Beautiful. That zoom is crazy - you'll have fun with it.

Thank you Rob, much appreciated.

It is an amazing piece of kit, the image stabilization software seems to work very well. I am sure I will have great fun with it.
