I like my auld architecture so think my fave is the window but Watendlath comes a close 2nd.

Which film did you go with?

I quite like #4, a really interesting composition I think that one, not sure what it is about it... Just really sits well and holds my interest! Very nice!

I too am interested in the chosen film?

... And your experience ... I love a point and shoot ... How do you find it?

Good old / new Jessops in Manchester.

The scans were a bit wishy washy compared to the prints - so I've done a little levels/curves to bring them nearer.

I actually got two sets of prints - cos the first set they did were backasswards lol - the young lass put the negs in the wrong way round!

I like the first 6 images in this set :) very impressed with the auto exposure of number 2 though.

They seem a lot more knowledgeable. The guy and gal on the photo lab certainly know their stuff.

Dave - looks like the Trip was worth it then! :D

Loving Rydal Water - what a lovely comp and scene - still looking very wintery in B&W then?

You tweaked images do a a very distinct look - almost silvered.

Really nice shots there, #3 probably my favourite - I like the light on the mountains in the centre of the pic.

Your Jessops does Black and white?

Ilford XP2 is a C41 black and white film Andrew. That means it's developed in colour chemicals. You can get a colour cast - usually greenish or sepia - so seeing as the prints are done on a Fuji digital minilab - I ask them to set it to mono.

Thanks Dave, I might try some of that. :)
