Critique Welcomed Floating Girls (Green and Red)

I shot these images at a dance performance in Los Angeles 10 or 11 years ago. I think at that time I had only recently begun shooting digital and my efforts were tentative at best for a long time. I certainly knew nothing about post-processing in those days.

Canon 7D with a Tamron 18-270 zoom.

Beautiful scene, very poetic. The green version is more in tune with the (well chosen) title “Floating girls,” they really seem to be floating in the water.

I agree. I think the framing works better too. Did you once post another version? Maybe lift the shadows a tiny touch?
Thanks, Pete. I may at one time have posted one of these, or a version of one. It occurred to me to do some editing, such as lifting shadows, on them prior to posting,...as I am sure I did hardly anything in post when I took them. But, lazy bugger that I am, I couldn't be bothered hunting for the originals in my files.
