Here's a slice of Americana, Bob's Big Boy burger restaurant, and it's regular Friday night custom car show.

It's located in Burbank CA, just down the block from Warner Bros studio - and is a favorite hang out of Jay Leno and Steve Wozniak (Apple).

Loooong exposures (15-30 secs) - ISO100 - 5D II.

Damn! why cant we have stuff like this over here, the cars do nothing for me(as nice as they are) but I just love the building and the garishness of the whole thing. Really loke shot three.

Like the XP but I feel its a shame that the lights on the sign are blown out but what else can you do.....HDR possibly? Like the cars as well, they come from a time when cars were much more individual in their design and looked good.

Paul - the XP really blows out the highlights, maybe a dual exposure blend would be able to fix that - but I'm also thinking it's part of the 'look'.

Nice Chris. I don't mind the blown highlights. As you say, it's all part of the look.
