Wow that was a mouthful... Anyway this looks interesting. It deals with reducing diffraction. Fuji is nothing if not interesting. My apologies if this has been posted before:

The Fuji reps at the show were unable to talk about this - as it was too new - they had no info

They just said it was 'magic' and allowed resolution of details at a level that would normally be masked by diffraction

Which is pretty much what the website says!

It is interesting though, as it's another example where optical technology is being replaced or assisted with digital technology

The lenses on the cameras already has corrections for distortion, light fall-off etc done in camera - but this is the next level

Well actually it's "magic" if I ever get a photo in focus so I need all the help I can get.

I will admit to really being impressed with Fuji so far. It would be hard for me to imagine liking a camera more than the X Pro or X100.
