Fuji x100 firmware v1.21

Firmware 1.21 for X100 is out Firmware for FinePix X100 | Fujifilm Global

I just installed it and it went fine. To be honest, I haven't noticed any difference. The white bar is still short, manual focus ring works the same way as 1.20. The two specific issues fixed in 1.21 are to do with the use of AFL button in manual focus mode when focus position is set to non-center. I don't use focus point other than center, so I can't comment on the improvements on this front.

Slightly disappointed about the omission of the white bar fix...

I hope now that the most perceived issue is out of the way, they won't take their time to deal with less serious ones such as white bar fix.

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm in the middle of installing this upgrade, and the screen has been stuck for ten minutes on Step 3 part 4:

Firmware for FinePix X100 | Fujifilm Global

It should only take 90 seconds! What do I do?

Ignore last post I didn't press the OK button hard enough. I do occasionally have problems activating the OK button on this camera.

I never had problem with ok button not registering, perhaps you want to get Fuji to take a look?

I think it's a bit small, but I've never had problem with it not registering my click.

I agree it's difficult to guarantee a hit on the OK button - there's even a 3rd party retrofit that gives you an improved OK button to fix this issue.

Much bigger/easier to hit button on the X-Pro1, so Fuji were listening to their users

Is Rob talking about missing the ok button altogether, or the ok button not registering the click?

I agree the button is hard to press, but once pressed, I never had mis-register.

Well, on a couple of occasions it hasn't registered when pressed. Usually it is not a problem, I just repeat a little harder. But I do think it could be better designed. I don't think I'll import that stick on thing...

I have the same issue - I figured out I just don't press it cleanly - fat fingers!

I'm catching the bezel around the OK button, and not depressing it fully - I end up using my nail now so I have a more positive click
