I picked this camera up yesterday. My wife's lens looks great on it (though it is a bit scratched). The X-T1 is amazing. Yes, it has its divots, but it is the first mirrorless camera that I feel will be able to replace the DSLR for manual lens users. I have no idea about AF as I don't have lenses that use it, nor would I know how best to use them on the X. Yes, my wife's XF lens is AF, but I don't use it. I use the Speedbooster NIK-XF which can be seen in this gallery.

Fuji should be using you to do their glam shots Nathan

Saw the write-up you did via the link on DPR - sounds like you are bonding the new model.

Just getting to grips with mine - needs a grip - too small for me to carry easily without one

AF has been solid and fast so far - even battery life seems better (but that could just be the new battery I guess)

Battery life must be better than the X-Pro 1, and for the reason that the X-Pro 1 takes longer to focus the same shot and thus, uses more electricity. It takes forever to record images... etc., and so on. The X-T1 is as instant as a mirrorless camera gets, and therefore, must get better battery life. Thank you for the encouragement. Had this been commercial, it would have been done with much more care.
I have long, slender hands and still dig the FM/E style cameras, so I find this camera just perfect for holding, although I can see where a grip would be nice (more battery life, better portrait photographs). I used the Grip at Yodobashi camera and at CP+ and it is nice. Light and pretty solid.
