I don't normally go in for using the skin smoothing tool, since I have this idea that the mua may think I am having a go at her, but. what does anyone think of this?

I agree, I guess she is sitting with her knees up and her arms wrapped around them but this creates a rather confusing patter in the upper right of the image. There is also some strange colouring on her face giving a blue tint. Is that from the smoothing. I like the idea though and maybe if less cropped in it might work better. Or maybe even tighter so you lose some of the extension of her limbs to the right which I find leads the eye out of the frame.

Dismembered is the word that sprung to mind when I saw this! The skin tones on what I guess are shoulders, arms and legs are nice and natural and the DOF is just right. The face does look a little out of place due to the smoothing.

The angle looking down on the head/face is a great idea - lovely chin profile and the eye/lashes look great

Limbs are distracting as others have noted - worth a revisit I reckon - or do you have some other versions?
