Girl Passing

The only thing bothering me is the title... Every time I see it, a split second I read something different. As if she's going to the bathroom, so to say.... :p

It's taken me a while to comment, because every time I look at this shot I see something new, like the way the thin strip of concrete at the top balances the thin strip of sidewalk (flagstones?) at the bottom. The way she is hunched against the wind, apparently hurrying to get somewhere or out of the cold. The bit of tape Pete mentioned. The way she is nearly centered by the white door frame on the left and the shaded window on the far right. How her white clothes match the white of the door frame. The bit of missing paint on the upper left. The small signs that are just too small to read, but there, nonetheless. The architectural details around the door on the far right. And, last, but far from least, the typical downcast eyes of the city dweller when out and about.

That's just what I've noticed so far. I'll probably see something else the next time I look at this photo. Great capture, Rob. I think it's one of your best.

We are all angels I believe, in all categories and here I detect several odd ones:D It is a good image, but I would like her not to be so centred.;)

Well.... what's picky in rejecting him?

Or is that a too political statement in this correct forum? In that case I allow the admins to remove this post. (Disclaimer....:D)
We are finally catching up with Europe with our own Nick Griffin or Le Pen.

Yeah.... But a divided Europe is a good thing, considered in this light. Le Pen will never grow out of proportion, he's captured in France. I can't imagine a man as Trump as leader of the US, that is something quite different....

The history of Europe is one of leaders growing out of proportion. It started with Rome more than 2000 years ago, reached another peak under Napoleon, and was most recently evident with Hitler, Mussolini, and Stalin in the last century. BTW, Trump will not be the leader of the US. Not from this election or any other.

That's a way to looking at it, but I think one could argue with as much reason that the history of Europe is one of division.... And as of Trump I think and believe you will be right, yes....:)
