Gone Mad

Ok this might not be a big deal but for me it is. Since posting this shot last night here and on flickr it has attracted more than 9000 views countless faves and numerous comments. Now has anyone else had such a response to a photo they have posted, only asking cos this is first for me I only normally get around the 100 + mark
All this in 24 hours!

I am of course pleased wih the response but a tad overwhelmed

That brilliant Kev!!! It really does deserve the views and recognition for the hard work you have out behind this.
I was madly excited with this shot and how fast the views accelerated upto 55,000

And now it has only got a couple of hundred in the last few years...... But your right, it's the feeling of knowing how many people are clicking on your work and the great satisfaction received from that. But that is the only one of mine for some strange reason that has exceeded into the thousands. The rest are barely over a hundred...... Mad, but very excited.
I'd be interested to see what it stands at by the end of this week!!! GET IN!!!!!!!!!!! :):)
The more groups you stick your work in the better. Get your stuff out there matey.
Good luck.

Cheers dan its only on about eight groups as it is I tend only to stick it what I'm interested in

You'll find that you'll have a shed load of people clicking on that now dude........ Well deserved!
It'll just be circulating around in the 'Explore' section now. BANG.....BOOOOOOOOM!!!!!:)

Nice one Kev - that's a massive turn-out for 1 day!

Can you click on for stats page and see where all the hits are linking from?

It's possible you've been tagged from somewhere - I had a surfer shot get tagged by some west coast surfer dude on his twitter feed, and that shot went off the charts for two weeks while everyone re-tweated the link to their surfer mates

FlickR "Explore" is a weird and fickle thing - I've tried to understand how it works but it's not happening LOL!

I can go for months without having anything make Explore - then 2 or 3 show up in a week. And it's never the shots I think are my best.

It's all about "Interestingness" they say - and this shot certainly hits the spot!

Well done that man!

I use Flickr but only as a place to host photos for RPF, I think I am what must be classed as some sort of online hermit in that respect. I have joined 3 groups but never bother to post anything and hardly comment on others photographs there. Kev, I thik you photo appeals to a lot of people for many different reasons and it would be criminal if it only got a luke warm response.

Thanks Paul I think flickr is a strange animal I have a number of groups which I post to regularly but many to get genuine feedback from like minded types, thise that do the same sort of stuff, I have signed up for ipernity which is like the old flickr but I havent done much on there as yet. Was going to pose the question whether anyone on RPF was using it.
like I said before im happy to get good feedback but when something goes mad it is kinda buzzing but I bet I could post something the same and not get a knock lol
