Aaah I new this time would come, spring on its way "1 degree off the warmest day in February", little pretty flowers poking up through the grass ... ... And Brodie Jackson, she who rubbed summer in our noses as we Brits were all wrapped up and freezing on the verge of her colder seasons ;)

Lovely stuff matey!

It's ok becuase your summer is prbably like our winter anyhow ;) haha.
I just find winter depressing lol. Wish it would atleast snow to make things more interesting!

Cheers, Hamish :)

then new life will be borne again in the spring and new opportunities to record the growth and a chance to rub Pommies noses in the fact that it's never ruddy cold for you :D:D:D

Brodie if your not used to snow you would find life very difficult, :D

Here in the UK the minute the weather forecast say 'chance of snow' all the numpties go out and buy every last loaf of bread, every last bottle of milk, stock up on tinned goods, butter and stock their freezers and fridges up with groceries like they are going to cut off from civilisation for a VERY LONG TIME.........and that's when there is only a chance of snow, when it does snow, the schools close, shops close, roads close, etc. etc.

We would all die if it was to last for more than a day one would expect :D:D:D:D

Enjoy your cold summer I mean warm winter :D

I just want to build a snowman, make a snow angel and see snow fall. lol
Ive seen it once after it had snowed. It was amazing!! :D But very slippery when it compacts :/ haha.

I think those are very beautiful images. The sky has a unique colour. Dreamy. Autumn is the only period where I feel anything remotely like being 'at one' with nature - because everything is falling asleep! And that's how I feel most of the time.

Love the first shot Brodie. Reminds of late summer wheat here in Montana.

To gets to some snow, there is a big Worldloppett cross country ski race in Australia each year. In August I think. And there are some ski areas. Can't remember their names but a friend of mine used to teach cross country skiing there in the 90s. Perhaps it's not too far away from you?

Thaks, Rob, Brians and Ralph. appreciate it :)
Yeh theres a couple ralph.. Nothing near me though. About a hour drive to the closest I think. Im not 100% though

Ralph - where have you been, haven't seen you posting?

Been gone for two weeks to a cross country ski race in Wisconsin. No time to look at forums and post. I did ride Amtrak's Empire Builder to and from though.

Chris, I posted a thread in Sports.

Brodie, sorry I hijacked your thread. And I really like your sunglasses lens shot avatar. Nice!

they make me think of youthful nights lying in the long grass :D that can only be a good thing

definitely lol, an age of innocence, holding hands, walking your girlfriend home, getting a peck on the cheek and floating home with a goofy grin :D
