Hannah Wants some soft pretty photos for our nursury so have been practicing with fake "bokeh" effects and textures and the like ... what you think of this lark?

Very fetching - baby is going to get some nice visuals by the looks of things.

What generates the darker splodges in the sky area though?

We have 6 foot high painted red owls, mushrooms .. Loads of colourful toys .. It's gonna be ace in there .. In fact I might move in there my self! I'll post some pics when it's finished!

Dark blobs are this bokeh brush I've made ... I made them a blur colour and the came out darker than expected but I quite liked it ... Not sure about it now you have specifically pointed it out ... :/ do you think it didnt work?

It works :) - I just couldn't figure out what had generated them ie. was it an object that got blurred

Ah ... Well in that case, that's good, as it means the "bokeh" effect is effective? Still not sure about them now ... Still for a first effort I think it has it's merits ... All part if the curve I say!

Like the image, I could live with the Bokeh Splodges but think that maybe they could be octagonal and not so dark? Sounds like your baby will grow up thinking it's living in the world of the Magic Roundabout or some other kids program that seems to be based on someones bad trip. - Remember Jamie and the Magic Torch?

Jamie and the Magic Torch! Now you're going wayyyyyyy back... LOL

If the "spodges" are the dark circles at the top of the image I'd probably try to soften them some. But the overall effect if nifty.
