Now that's nice Darren and it addresses what I was saying the other day about most macro shots lacking narrative etc. OK, so the eye is not razor sharp but he certainly looks ready for action and the dark background sets it off nicely.

cheers folks, i spotted this in garden when washing my car the other day, so grabbed camera quick.......!!
Taken using 24-70mm F2.8 L as i dont have a macro lens, this is also a crop of the original but it has come out very well IMO
First time i have seen one of these for real

Nice one Darren, I think Pete has managed to cover my thoughts on this too. As a macro shot its a little unconventional but that's what makes it more intersting and ultimately a more satisfying image.
