Greyfrairs Long Exposures

Greyfriars is a celebrated graveyard in the heart of old Edinburgh. These shots used the B+W x10 ND filter, with varying times, averaging 12 seconds or so, f22 and ISO 2000. I haven't done anything to these other than reduce the size for upload. I'm amazed at the colours...

Just remembered - that last one: I added a bit of blue to the sky, as it was pretty much blown out. Otherwise, nothing.

the last one is nice, but i love the long shutter speed and movement in the first couple. it gives it that creepy, halloween/ghostly feel to it. excellent work! the blue sky on the last is nicely done, never would have guessed if you hadn't said.

The colours are brilliant!
Have you tried lowering the ISO, in which will result in a longer shutter speed ,BUT, will bring out those colours out even more on lower ISO..

Dan, yes, I tried various settings, including a very low ISO 100, but for some reason they didn't look so good to me. Thanks for the advice, though, as sometime it will exactly the right thing to do.

Amazing fall or keeping it British, Autumn colours . Nowt wrong with adding blue to the sky, a rare thing is a blue sky.
