There wasn't much on the beach here, but I was fascinated by the patterns made by the waves revealing a layer of darker sand underneath. Some reminded me of my flight over the Nasca lines in Peru many years ago

beautiful play of light and dark in the sand, some really amazing patterns. water in the background seems to echo the sand in the foreground. it's a great landscape, but this would also make a nice abstract without the mountains and waves in the background.

Been out of action for a day or two and good to be back and see your pics Lesley. A great take on what otherwise for most making the lighthouse secondary to the beach itself.
