Hastings Rock

Well, that's what I went down to the coast to photograph. Having taken a long exposure of some rocks on Hastings beach on film, I wanted to try with the Sony. The only problem was that the rocks were now completely covered by several tons of shingle as a result of the waves. The tide was coming in fast and the only thing to hand was a lump of old concrete. Any port in a storm!

And a wonderful old lump of concrete it turned out to be Lesley. I love the swirling water in this shot, just the right amount of blur I think.

No tripod, if I know you well?

You do know me pretty well Chris, but I will take the tripod along sometimes. It's only a lightweight one though and often lets me down on the coast. It worked here, but a previous trip to the same spot ended up with blurry rocks
