Head Bump?

Thanks for the link - there is one there just like this one...for £15...and counting. Maybe. Certainly cheaper than £80. Has made me think about acquiring props...more clutter!

That's the odd think - it looked completely crackle-free and smooth, until I darkened it - then out it came...
No absolute expert Rob, yet having a kiln and having done a lot of glazing, it looks very similar to crackle glaze out of a pot. It is used for a distressed look rather than anything else.
Crackle as very little to do with age, it is more about materials and how it was fired at the time. The colours and staining of the crackle does look very different in unintentional crackle.
Plus the uniformity. Far to hard to be totally sure from a photo, but this type of ware would be mass produced yesterday as coffee table ornaments.
Could be wrong it after all a photo. A good one mind ;)
 
A hard object to capture without light reflections overblowing. I've put a bid in for one, exactly the same as this but at a fraction of the cost.
