any chance you could do a little piece for folks on here on the best way to prep images for printing?
Getting from the digital world into print, and getting results that match expectations, that sort of thing.
Would be well received I think.
Right, ready to do this soon, any specific requests?, it may be better to split it up into chunks of info such as
setting up your colour settings, cropping to specific print sizes etc., obviously there will some members who know a lot of things, some who know a few things and some who know nowt (just as we all did to start with) so I don't want to teach granny to suck eggs..........
I would opt for the knows nowt option - although I have a pretty sound understanding of colour management (we produce technical images), there's always something to learn. That's what Hamish (and I) did with the aperture tutorial.
Joan - I think your idea of splitting it up is great - and as Pete says, we can all learn something, so just lay it all out there
I know that colour management will be a key topic - file sizes and print sizes - file types to use - different paper options and special print materials available these days (canvas?)
