Hello from Kent

Hi Everyone

I came across this site accidentally, poked my nose in and found an interesting and friendly group. Since retiring from being a publishing director I've found a much busier life, but without the time scheduling! Since then digital has virtually taken over and pushed film into the background. So I've decided to dust off my Nikons F3 and F4 and give them a new lease of life and relearn all that I'd forgotten.

Whilst I'm not much of a forum poster, more of a reader, I will be spending some time here and who knows may pick up enough courage to comment lol.

So back to film, digital occasionally, and recording all things of interest.

Hi Ian,

It's a very friendly place mate, so don't be too shy to post. It would be nice to see a few of your images. :)

welcome to RPF Ian, i am sure you will enjoy your time around these parts as much as us RPF addicts do

Welcome Ian, bundles of fun here I tell thee :)
Looking forward to seeing some photos of yours.

Welcome Ian - be warned, this is a dangerous place....

... You'll end up buying more film than you ever imagined! :D

Brian / Hamish / Pete, and others, are all film-a-holics - and it's contagious.

Thanks Guys for such a warm and encouraging welcome. I look forward to building the confidence to submit some of my images and having found a supplier of Agfa Vista who knows where it will lead.

Ian

Well after replying to your welcome messages I had a look through the General section and have to say that there is such a wealth of goodies that I had to come back and edit my post.

An amazing amount of talent and who knows what others await throughout the forum and in the galleries!

Hello Paul, thanks for your welcome.

I'm beginning to feel at home already and looking forward to visiting the site as often as time allows. In my career I selected photographs for publishing as greetings cards, working closely with now defunct agencies such as Tony Stone and Colour Library International, until the popularity of photographs was replaced by artwork. Images covered a wide range of subject matter from children through to floral and landscape. So my interest is influenced by this but doesn't lean towards any one area, though I do enjoy street /candid photography. However as we all know this has now become unfortunately a not so likeable area these days.

Thank you Pete,

I have tried already to upload some photos to an album but without success. It looks like an age problem. I've followed the instructions but no luck, will keep trying.
