Hi from Minsk, Belarus

Welcome to RPF Aleks. I'm sure you will enjoy it here - it is relaxed and friendly. And we all enjoy images much more than the cameras and, from what I have seen, there is plenty to enjoy about yours. Looking forward to seeing more and discussing photography with you.

Kind Regards,

Thank you very much.

By the way, can anybody explain me where I can post my pictures - here in this topic or there are another threads where people post their photos to discuss or debate?

Usually people create a thread in the area that fits the subject best. There are some tags that you can apply to request constructive criticism etc at the time of posting. There is also a gallery area but the threads are the best place. Feel free to create as many as you like.

I just briefly looked through my archives and decided to show you several pictures of my country.
1-2 old town Nesvizh, look of the reconstructed castle from the opposite side of the river and main entrance to the town from highway.
2-3 is ruins of old castle in small town Lubcha and a view from the top of tower. Unfortunately almost all our castles are in the same condition :(
The last image is lake Naroch not far from my city Minsk. It was taken, when the temperature was -28*C

-28!
That's photo processing whether for me!
I'm supprised you got the camera to function, I've read that batteries last a fraction of the time even of you can get the camera to work in that sort of conditions!
One way or another, some very pretty pictures!
You might have to indulge us with the odd photo from your country!
We had a member join from Bermuda, but we haven't seen any photos yet... It's quite nice to see pictures from all these far flung places many of us will never get a chance to visit!
That said, if all you can muster is photos of pretty girls ... It may only be Lesley who you are letting down ;)

Welcome to the forum Aleks, I love your fashion photos, very sharp and clean.
I used to do fashion photography a long time ago but decided it wasn't my favorite, here's a very old picture...

I hope you enjoy the forum, I think you will find it addictive and yes it certainly is a friendly place where you can relax and enjoy good company.

Hamish, -28 was even cold to breath, especially with large humidity of our climate. But I ran out of my car, made a series of shots and returned to the car. It took me 2-3 minutes. Than I drank hot tea, warm myself and camera and repeated such sortie. Never the less the battery was discharged 3 times faster.

Communication at this forum helps me to recall English, but your last sentence I can't translate and clearly get the idea :)

Fidel, I like you shot it's very natural.

Pete, nothing special was in this look book session, several photos I gave to designer, she placed them in her live journal in order to sell or to make for a certain customer figure.
I know that people from Austria, Emirates and Russia also order her clothes and she send the dress by mail :)

Not so long ago in my city took place Fashion Market. It's a kind of measure when a lot of designers and hand-made crafters gather in one big area and sell their goods. At this time I was shooting look book of one designer as well as all the goods. But as I was there with studio lighting equipment, I also took some portraits. Here is one of them

That is an extremely nice portrait Aleks. I like the lighting and the composition you have used. I have created a new thread from this in the Portraits area of the forum, I hope you do not mind. Sometimes people only check new threads rather than new posts and so it is better often to start a new thread with a new image rather than adding it to an exising one.

The copy of this is here - http://www.realphotographersforum.com/people-portraits/5441-portrait-fashion-market.html

I can change the title if you would like.

Kind Regards,

No problem Aleks. Just creating new threads is probably the best way though. I guess most of your work fits to the Portraits area though but just choose the place you think best. And create as many as you like. New threads are much easier for people to spot or at least respond to, especially if they do not look at the site every day. I certainly enjoy your images and don't waht to miss any! :)
