Hi mum(moth), just stand still for a second and smile the better you can until I press the button

He’ll need a wide-angle lens for that.

It’s a wonderful shot, Gianluca, reminding me of seeing my first dino when I was about the same age. I had no camera then, though.

That is my son, around 15 years ago handling my first digital. At the same time I had in my hands the worst camera I bought in my life (well, after Kodak Instamatic 50).

Thank you @Rob MacKillop !

You taught the lad well, Gianluca! (Camera safely tethered to his wrist.)

Curious,...what was that camera?

I like it! :)

Those superzooms can be very hit and miss.
The first digital camera I actually owned was a Fujifilm S5600, with a 10x zoom, and it was great. I still have it and use it occasionally. But a few years later I was given a Fujifilm S2950 as a gift.
On paper it was a nice upgrade in most aspects from the S5600. But in the real world, no... more resolution, yes -14MP instead of 5MP - but an awful lens, weird colours, slow AF, short battery life...
It was fairly cheap though. :) And I still had some fun with it.
But I'd only recommend it to my worst enemy. ;)
