In the loft today putting some boxes up and came across a shoe box stuff with old negs not in the best of condition. But as my scanner came today I thought I would test a couple. There seem to be 120 although some are a larger format.
These 2 shots must have been around the war years up to the late 60s.
My Dad was working in becton Gas works during the war so he must of taken them around that time or after.
Shame I don't know who are in them.

Wow, Martin, these are great. The guy looks a real character, and that engine, No. 14, looks magnificent. Some train guys would be really excited by that shot, I'm sure.

I was thinking that too. The gas works had its own railway system to bring the coke up to the furnaces.
I will tidy them up when I get a bit of time.

Looks like that scanner does a very nice job considering the age of the negatives. I've been researching scanners and have been following your upgrade closely to see if the V600 will do the job for me. It looks like it handles larger formats well. If, and that's still a big if, I start scanning my own film and do enough to justify the cost of a scanner, I will want one that is capable of handling 6x7 negatives.
