Horseplay Before Dinner

Last weekend my younger daughter Meg (15) attended her first high school dance, the "Winter Formal." Before the event she and her friends went for dinner. I was a chauffeur. Their dinner was at a very popular Italian place and so there was a wait, despite reservations having been made. This was OK with me for it gave me an opportunity to observe as they created entertainment on the grassy patch outside the restaurant. The moral of the story? They may be dressed to the nines and oh so sophisticated,...but they are still kids.

I had my XA with me and it was loaded with expired Fomapan 100 film. I developed these in Rodinal 1:100 for 60 minutes.

Meatballs? A classy Italian joint? You know how to live it up don't you?!! ;) And have you see how the customers leave the joint?!!

What a super series Brian. Fantastic movements. I almost missed the guy in the first shot. I love the transparency of the figures. If I had to choose, then I think my current favourite is the last in that series but the one before is excellent too. I just can't decide!

Pete,...LOL. "Meatballs" is above the entrance but the name of the place is Buca di Bepo. (Chris and other RPFers on the West Coast of USA will be familiar with Buca, as it is a very popular chain of restaurants.) It was like I was invisible sitting there on a small bench snapping shots with my XA balanced on my knee for steadiness. It was great. Thanks for the comments, Pete!

mmmmm, Buca di Bepo, yum! :)

#1 has a 50's feel to it Brian, reminds me of American Graffiti - very nice

Liking these Brian, in particular the 1st and 4th, i take it they failed in their attempt to make a human pyramid, the lads that is :D

Thank you Chris and Kev.

I just realized that the penultimate image is mis-registered. (See on right of it--big black vertical bar.) I'll have to re-scan. (Maybe I will have a more balanced fotie then--it bothers me that it's a bit unbalanced, but I put it down to shooting from the knee.)
