I can't choose...

I agree with Pete, there is more depth to the second one ...
I can't help feeling that there is a touch to much foreground though somehow?

The dichromatic for me Rense. I like the enhanced contrast between the trees and the sky at the horizon that it gives. It also brings 'life' to the foreground I think.

Thanks Pete! I think you're right, although I love the simplicity of the B&W one...

Dichromatic for me Rense! It looks amazing!!

Thanks a lot Dan! That's two for splitted colour...

And number 3 for splitted colour.... Thanks!
Don't know about the foreground. If you'd cut it, something of the depth will vanish,
and I really would like to have the anthills in the lower-left corner in the photo, because
it says something about the age of the system.....

But that's probably only me and my biology background...:D

I'd have to go for #2 myself....
Without seeing the original I don't know if I'd have chosen those precise tones, but they certainly work...

The second one (dichromatic?) is my choice. The depth that adds looks pretty nice. My eyes are seeing the distants horizon just a little tilted. Are my eyes ok?

Dichromatic for me, Rense. I like what it does to the sky on the left horizon.

Nr 2 it is, I guess....:D

Thanks for looking and commenting!

#2 for me, too. In the dichromatic version, the contrast between the sky and the shadow parts (tree and the mountain) seems stronger than the B/W version, for me, it helps in shaping and defining the subjects (trees & mountain), making them stand out more vividly.

Both are excellent - what a great capture with the steeply rolling hills and those trees clinging on to the slope!

I'm drawn to the B&W version - as you say, it has a clean 'simplicity' :)

Thanks a lot for all your comments! It's clear most votes go for the second one,
but it gives me also clues to spice up the B&W version... Thanks again!!

Chris will do...for some reason when I signed up, I was not allowed to use "Chris" or even "Christopher", and I feel like a bit of a schmuck with Christopher-James above all my posts....such is life.

Haha, Chris! When I answered I already thought that Christopher-Jamers would not be your 'daily' name.... Thanks, Chris it is!
